launch of big tv.........do u blive the amnt of money these tycoons are pumping in dth is justified.....
.......when other options like IPTV, ISPs..and other technological breakthroughs...can really wreak havoc...and can take u fr surprise at any time....and ya....most of the countries..say in US.....europe... have only one or two dth service providers.......so..hw do u feel it is gonna be different in india....

I think that its good that Airtel is diversifying. As you said that technology is changing rapidly, it might see a drastic turnaround. If in such case, Airtel is entering a into DTH, there will be risk diversification. Other than that, they will also have the first-mover's advantage as this industry is in nascent stage and alot of new players might enter. The only thing that Airtel should take care is to run the two businesses as if they are run by two different companies
